Perth City is located in the ancient country of the Whadjuk/Wajuk Nyoongar people, who have been the Traditional Owners of the south west of Western Australia for at least 45,000 years. We often acknowledge the Nyoongar people as the traditional owners of the land during the acknowledgement of country at the beginning of any important social gathering or meeting.
